GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA

Katherine (Kat) Manzella was born and raised in South Florida. A daughter of Cuban Immigrants, she was the first in her family to attend college and holds a double Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida and Florida Atlantic University in Forensic Anthropology. She started as an assistant teacher at the university level and later moved into the corporate arena, as an assistant to the CEO of a world wide software company.

Kat came into the church through RCIA during college, and has been a volunteer with the Church ever since. She has been a catechist for all levels of faith formation and sacramental preparation, including First Eucharist, Confirmation, and RCIA. In 2001, Kat relocated to North Carolina with her husband Robert and daughter Tatiana. She is a licensed Spanish and Religion teacher and was a member of the the St. Pius X school staff from 2017-2023.

Kat is also the Founder and Executive Director of Kisses4Kate, a non-profit for children with cancer. She is a member of the Bethany Women’s Society at Immaculate heart of Mary in High Point, and was incorporated as a Sister of Regnum Christi in 2019. She has taught camps in art, sewing and religious crafts, and volunteered at the YMCA, Camp Weaver, Theater Art Galleries and the Children’s Museum. She enjoys traveling and has been on pilgrimage to several countries, Marian Shrines in Europe, the Caribbean and goes on a pilgrimage every summer to different holy places in the United States.
