GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA

Deacon Bob moved to Greensboro in August 2011 after living in Connecticut for 30 years, and Illinois for 10 years before that. He and Regina have been married for 52+ years and were blessed with 8 children, three of whom are now in heaven. Two of their daughters, Kara Gillespie and Kieran Plum are SPX parishioners and faith formation teachers.  Regina and Deacon Bob have two sons, Robb who lives in Connecticut, and Tim who lives now in Norway. Kate, their oldest daughter, is in Alabama.

 

Deacon Bob went to Fordham University in NY, then served as a US Army Lieutenant in Vietnam for a year, and on his return to the States, he went to Loyola Chicago for his master's degree.  Before retirement, he was the corporate director of credit for The Timken Company in Ohio, Ingersoll-Rand Corporation in NJ, and Union Carbide Corporation in NY, IL, and CT. He was ordained in 2004 from the Diocese of Bridgeport in CT and served the people of God in St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Ridgefield, CT until moving to SPX.

At St. Pius X, Regina serves as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She's also active in the parish bible study programs, Cursillo, and prayer groups and has previously been active in RCIA.
